A.F.C.A.S. FOUNDER – GED SEARSON
With 30 years of football coaching experience, Ged Searson has gained extensive knowledge through his work at various levels of football in the UK and Europe. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of being mentored by renowned figures such as the legendary Sir Bobby Robson, further enhancing his understanding of the game.
In addition to his coaching expertise, Ged has accumulated over 17 years of experience as a professional football scout. This valuable background enables him to deliver Scouting and Coaching Workshops and Courses of the highest calibre. Notably, he has previously served as a First-Team Domestic and European scout for Premier League Club West Ham United and has held the esteemed position of Chief Scout at two Football League clubs.
Ged’s involvement in football extends beyond domestic leagues. He has also made significant contributions at the international level. Notably, as the National team Chief Scout, he played a key role in the success of the Malawi National team during the 2022 AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS. Under his guidance, the team achieved their first-ever progression to the knockout stages, marking a historic milestone in their football history.
As the founder of A.F.C.A.S., Ged Searson brings his wealth of experience and expertise to provide top-quality football scouting and coaching education. Ged imparts his extensive knowledge to workshop and course attendees through fully interactive sessions. With four years of presenting scouting workshops for S4 Scouting and now with A.F.C.A.S. to attendees from clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham United, Glasgow Rangers, PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto, Burnley, Swansea City, Cardiff City, Millwall, Q.P,R, FC Toronto, Charlton Athletic, Wigan Athletic, Lincoln City, Fleetwood Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth, Doncaster Rovers, Forest Green Rovers to name just some clubs
